You like it…I like it…a quick read! I’ve been in Manchester for over a week and here’s a recap of my “10 Intents” progress.
1: Minimizing Murphy’s Law
My flight arrived in a timely manner, although I had to wait outside of the Accommodation Office for 15 minutes before it opened. Have you ever peaked through a window with a face that said, “Oh come on! Please give me a break!” I was only slightly late to Orientation, but all was well.
2: Class & Professional Network
No class on Wednesday! (Although I wish I could say that for Friday…) My courses are to my liking and I rented all my textbooks for free from the library. (#TeamSaveMoney) My mentor is fabulous and has been very helpful!
3: Leadership in Action
The first day, we had a dynamic guest lecturer and I am looking forward to all of our future guests! I have my first volunteer project tomorrow morning so stay tuned for details.
4: Friendship
I became acquainted with my flatmates and many of the other exchange students. Everyone is so welcoming!
5: #TeaWithKea
Check Instagram. Enough said.
6: Food
Apparently, you can “eat your way through the alphabet” in Manchester and so I decided to start with I: Indian Food!

7: Culture
We were offered a Coach Tour and well, never say no to free, right? I was able to admire so many aspects of Manchester!
8: Football and Festivals
I haven’t been to any festivals, but I have enjoyed the electric nightlife. Literally LIT!
I recently purchased a Man Utd ticket and am looking forward to watching the game later this month!
9: Fashion
Although it constantly rains, my Forever 21 boots came in so clutch that I didn’t even need to purchase wellies when I arrived!
10: Euro Tripping
This weekend I’ll be in London! I’ve also purchased tickets to Edinburgh, Scotland and Paris, France! I still have yet to plan for all the places I want to go during Easter break, but I will surely get on it ASAP!
